Iconic Melbourne apartments
Stanhill is an inter-war Functionalist style apartment block designed by renowned emigre architect Frederick Romberg. These apartments are considered to be the most impressive of his extensive works. Almost hidden by the towering glass and modern materials of our current era, Stanhill remains independently welded into our built environment, adding the charm of a not too distant memory when life was exploding into our present time.

Mid-century Melbourne architecture
Overlooking Albert Park, its lake and bay vistas
Stoically surviving the re-build of Modern Melbourne, Stanhill stands the test of time and serves as a wonderful link to a disappearing era
Our residents love the place, sales are rare
A touch of Europe
“We just love living at Stanhill.
It is a building with immense character that we can relate to.
We’re in a classic older style apartment that compared to those today, is huge, around 100 sq.m..
The ceilings are high the windows are enormous and we can never be built out.
The views are spectacular whatever level you are on, North to the city, west to the lake and golf course,
South to the Albert Ground and tennis courts and east to South Yarra.
And what is really fabulous is that there is hydronic heating in the floor slabs so it’s never cold just cosy in winter and in summer, we have balconies to the north and south so the cross flow ventilation is very cooling.
Proximity to the St Kilda Road trams is only 100m away so if we don’t want to take the car, we just hop on a tram and we’re in the City in 10mins.”
